Goa Khabar : For an entire month, GEC students were left without faculty, while 35 highly qualified contract professors faced complete uncertainty about their future. Despite meeting the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant three times and receiving repeated promises of salary hikes and automatic contract renewals, nothing moved forward, until Vijai Sardesai raised the issue in the Goa Assembly on 6th August 2025.
On 12th August 2025, all 35 professors received calls to report back to duty on 13th August 2025, with an assurance from the government! The relentless efforts of Vijai and the united resolve of the professors have finally delivered justice. A hard-fought victory for education and for Goa!
