Goa Khabar: major aviation disaster was narrowly averted at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday after a technical failure led to a fire in an aircraft engine during takeoff.

According to reports, Swiss International Air Lines Flight LX147, which was scheduled to depart from Delhi to Zurich, encountered a serious issue while accelerating on the runway. One of the aircraft’s engines reportedly malfunctioned and caught fire during the takeoff roll.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, the pilot acted swiftly and aborted the takeoff, preventing a potentially catastrophic incident. Emergency protocols were immediately activated, and passengers were evacuated safely from the aircraft.

Airport emergency services, including fire and rescue teams, responded promptly and brought the situation under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all passengers were safely evacuated.

The timely decision and presence of mind displayed by the pilot is being widely appreciated, as it helped avert what could have been a major tragedy.
