Goa Khabar : Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Media Department Chairman Amarnath Panjikar has strongly condemned the outrageous and laughable statement made by BJP State President Damu Naik, who blamed the Congress government of 60 years ago for the present-day criminal incidents in Goa.
“It is shocking to see the BJP’s top leadership stooping to such ridiculous levels just to cover up their complete failure on law and order. For over 12 years, BJP has been ruling Goa, controlling every department, including the Home Department under Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, yet they are shamelessly blaming the Congress for today’s crimes. This is nothing but a pathetic attempt to mislead Goans,” said Panjikar.
Panjikar further stated that under the BJP regime, Goa has witnessed an unprecedented rise in murders, drug-related crimes, extortion, assaults, and shootouts, exposing the government’s total inability to maintain peace and security. “Every week there is some new violent incident, and instead of taking accountability, BJP leaders come up with excuses that insult the intelligence of every Goan,” he added.

“Blaming the Congress for crimes after more than a decade of BJP rule shows how insecure and desperate the BJP has become. If Damu Naik and the BJP cannot control the law and order situation even after 12 years in power, they should apologize to Goans and step down immediately,” demanded Panjikar.
Panjikar said that the people of Goa are tired of BJP’s hollow promises and constant blame games. “Goans can clearly see through BJP’s failures. The law and order situation in Goa is not the result of history — it is the result of BJP’s corruption, misgovernance, and arrogance of power,” he concluded.
