Goa Khabar : The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Monday launched a scathing attack on Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, accusing him of spreading “fabricated lies” against Rahul Gandhi to divert attention from the collapsing healthcare system and alleged land scams in Goa.

GPCC president Amit Patkar said Rane’s “theatrics” expose both his “fear of Rahul Gandhi” and his “guilt in Goa’s land scams.” He added that while Goa is facing a shortage of doctors, gross mismanagement at Goa Medical College (GMC), and a crumbling health infrastructure, the minister is indulging in “cheap attacks scripted by his BJP masters in Delhi.”

Patkar further alleged that Rane has betrayed his father’s legacy, bartered Goans’ trust, and is remembered for “massive land scams that have destroyed Goa’s heritage and identity.”

“Goans are not blind to his track record. From questionable land deals to arrogant disregard for people’s sentiments, every act reeks of self-interest, not service,” Patkar said.

The GPCC president also posed three questions to Rane:

Why is Goa’s healthcare collapsing under his leadership?

Why are land scams and backdoor deals flourishing while Goans lose their land and identity?

Why does he prefer lies and slander over accountability?

Patkar concluded that Goa deserves “truth, transparency, and accountability” and not a Health Minister “who hides his failures behind shameless theatrics.”
