Goa Khabar : Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, during zero hour, raised issue of menace of monkeys in Cuncolim and neighbouring villages, wherein they cause damage to roof tiles and home gardens.
He said that the problem is alarming as the gang of monkeys jump on rooftops of houses causing damage to the roof tiles. The monkeys also ransack the fruits and vegetables in the home gardens.
“If you move in Cuncolim, you will see that many houses have put up fishing nets on rooftops. This menace is found also in the neighbouring villages of Assolna, Velim, Chinchinim. There are reports of similar damage in residential areas in the villages of Ponda taluka.,”Alemao said.
