Goa Khabar : The 55th edition of the International Film Festival of India 2024 (IFFI 2024) is scheduled from 20th November to 28th November 2024. As a regular event during IFFI, the Entertainment Society of Goa has special section of Premier/Non Premiere films produced by Goan film Directors & producers in Feature and Non Feature category.
This year ESG received total of 25 entries in both the sections. Out of which 14 films are selected by Jury members.
ESG thanks all 3 Jury Members for the excellent work done.
Kamal Swaroop ji, Chairman of Jury, Shri Amar Nath Jha ji, Member of Jury and Shri Sajiv Kurup ji, Member of Jury, who are distinct professionals from the Indian Film Industry.
ESG also congratulates all the Directors, Producers, casts and crews and all those who are involved outside and inside to make these films as the films have got selected for IFFI screenings.
This year, ESG has introduced a new segment titled “Goan Director’s Cut”, aimed at promoting Goan directors during IFFI. This dedicated platform provides an opportunity for Goan directors to showcase their work and celebrates their unique vision and creativity, further enriching the Goan Section at IFFI.

Goa State Film Festival 2025
Entertainment Society will be hosting 10th, 11th & 12th edition of Goa State Film Festival 2025 in March 2025. The festival will be biennial festival which will includes feature & non feature films produced in the state of Goa. The last edition i.e. 9th edition of the Goa State Film Festival was held in May 2018 for the films produced in the years 2016 & 2017. The 10th edition will have films produced from 1/1/2018 to 31/12/2019, 11th edition will have films produced from 1/1/2020 to 31/12/2021 and 12th edition will have films produced from 1/1/2022 to 31/12/2023.
ESG and Film Finance Scheme
The Entertainment Society of Goa will be inviting the application for the Film Finance Scheme.
As per the Letter received from DIP, Govt. has accorded approval to invite applications under the scheme “The Goa Scheme of Financial Assistance for Film 2016” from the films produced between January 2018 to Dec 2023, post which the scheme will go for revision.
The application form for availing Finance assistance under the Film Finance Scheme – 2016 will be made available on ESG website
www.esg.co.in from 9/12/2024 till 18/01/2025. The form should be submitted to ESG office between 21/1/2025 to 14/2/2025 during office hours along with the necessary enclosures.
