Goa Khabar: In a thrilling encounter at the Ella Ground on Thursday, FC Goa emerged triumphant in the semi-finals of the GFA TACA Goa U20 League 2022-23, defeating Panjim Footballers 3-0 thanks to goals from Jordan Borges, Jovial Dias and Saish Gaunkar. The victory secured the Gaurs’ spot in the final, where they will vie for the title.
A rather one-sided contest saw FC Goa asserting complete control over the proceedings for major parts of the game. Celebrations were in order as Jordan Borges marked his birthday with the opening goal of the match in the 14th minute.
The Boys in Orange continued to assert their dominance, and then Jovial Dias doubled their advantage in the 21st minute.

Throughout the match, FC Goa’s cohesive teamwork and relentless attacking approach proved too much for their opponents to handle. The result was more or less a foregone conclusion in the 70th minute, when Saish Gaunkar found the back of the net to give his team a comfortable three-goal cushion.

With the final whistle, FC Goa confirmed their win and also secured their qualification for the final of the GFA TACA Goa U20 League, which is set to happen at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa on Sunday.
