Social Worker and Activist Milind Prabhu Joins Indian National Congress; Congress Strengthens Its Grassroots Base in Valpoi

Goa Khabar: In a major boost to the Indian National Congress in the Valpoi Assembly Constituency, noted social worker and activist Shri Milind Prabhu formally joined the Congress party at a well-attended function held at Usgao on Sunday.

Shri Milind Prabhu was inducted into the party in the presence of AICC Goa In-Charge Shri Manickrao Thakare, AICC Co-Incharge Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Girish Chodankar, GPCC Working Presidents Shri M. K. Shaikh and Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira, MLA, North Goa District Congress Committee President Shri Mangaldas Naik, South Goa District Congress Committee President Adv. Shashank Narvekar, Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Smt. Pratiksha Khalap, Goa Youth Congress President Shri Archit Naik, Goa Seva Dal Chief Shri Rajan Ghate, besides senior Congress leaders, office-bearers and party workers.

On the occasion, GPCC President Shri Girish Chodankar formally accepted the membership form of Shri Milind Prabhu. The senior Congress leaders welcomed him into the party by presenting him with the Indian National Congress flag, symbolising his commitment to the Congress ideology and its mission of serving the people.

Welcoming Shri Prabhu into the Congress family, Shri Girish Chodankar said that the party was proud to have a dedicated social worker and grassroots activist like him. He expressed confidence that Shri Prabhu’s credibility, public service and commitment to the welfare of the people would further strengthen the Congress organisation in Valpoi and contribute significantly to the party’s efforts across Goa.

Addressing the gathering, AICC Goa In-Charge Shri Manickrao Thakare, AICC Co-Incharge Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar, GPCC Working President Shri M. K. Shaikh, and MLA & GPCC Working President Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira congratulated Shri Milind Prabhu on joining the Congress. They extended their best wishes and expressed confidence that his induction would infuse fresh energy into the organisation and help strengthen the Congress at the grassroots level in Usgao and throughout the Valpoi Assembly Constituency. They called upon Congress workers to remain united and intensify their outreach among the people while taking forward the party’s ideology of inclusive development, justice and democratic values.

Speaking after joining the Congress, Shri Milind Prabhu said that his decision to join the party was guided by his desire to work for the welfare of the people and uphold the values of democracy, secularism and social justice. He expressed his gratitude to the party leadership for reposing faith in him and assured that he would work tirelessly to strengthen the organisation and address the aspirations and concerns of the people of Valpoi and Goa.

The induction of Shri Milind Prabhu is expected to further consolidate the Congress organisation in the Valpoi constituency as the party continues to expand its grassroots presence and welcome committed individuals dedicated to public service.
