Goa Khabar : The Aam Aadmi Party Goa held an important meeting of its Women’s Wing office bearers meeting to strengthen organisational efforts and ensure stronger participation of women in Goa’s political and social progress. The meeting was attended by AAP Goa In-Charge Atishi, State President Valmiki Naik, Women Wing South Goa President Patricia Fernandes, Women Wing North Goa President Suvarna Harmalkar, Organisation Secretary Prashant Naik, and Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar-Dessai.

The meeting focused on expanding the Women’s Wing across Goa, empowering women leaders at village and assembly levels, and taking up issues that directly impact women and households.

AAP Goa State President Valmiki Naik said, “Across the country, women have been the torchbearers of AAP’s growth. From Delhi to Punjab, women have supported AAP because our politics delivers real change in their daily lives. We want to build the same strong and confident support among women voters in Goa.”

Organisation Secretary Prashant Naik said, “Women are central to grassroots organisation. Strengthening the Women’s Wing across Goa will help us connect better with families, raise local issues, and build a strong people-driven movement.”

Women Wing South Goa President Patricia Fernandes said, “A woman runs the household and worries daily about expenses. Free healthcare, free electricity and affordable water directly reduce this burden. The BJP government has made life difficult by allowing prices of essential household items to skyrocket. Our women volunteers will raise these concerns in every village and assembly.”

Women Wing North Goa President Suvarna Harmalkar said, “Women feel the impact of rising prices and costly healthcare the most. AAP’s focus on welfare and basic services gives real relief to families. We will strengthen the Women’s Wing across Goa and ensure women’s issues are raised forcefully at the local level.”

AAP reiterated that women empowerment and participation remain at the core of its vision, and the Women’s Wing will play a decisive role in shaping people-first politics in Goa
