Goa Khabar : The Aam Aadmi Party has launched one of its strongest Zilla Panchayat campaigns in Salcette, with MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas leading an intensive, people-centric outreach in the Benaulim and Colva ZP constituencies.
Over the last few weeks, Capt. Venzy has facilitated more than 50+ manifesto meetings and health camps across the two constituencies, making this one of the highest grassroots engagements conducted anywhere in Goa for the ZP elections. These meetings were held in every ward, focusing on listening to local issues directly from residents and compiling them into people-driven manifesto points.
The MLA’s approach has been simple — speak to every voter, understand every issue, and deliver a ZP candidate who reflects the expectations of the people.
Residents from Benaulim and Colva have repeatedly praised AAP’s decentralised approach towards manifesto , where every suggestion from the public is documented and included in the ZP development plan. This approach has also helped the party’s ZP candidates connect with people at a deeper and more authentic level.
Capt. Venzy Viegas stated that the team is “fully committed to ensuring that people’s voices decide the agenda” and that ZP-level development should reflect the needs identified directly by locals, not top-down political announcements.
AAP said that the intensity of the campaign — the number of meetings, interactions, health camps, and booth-level coordination — clearly indicates the seriousness with which the party is contesting both seats. The party also highlighted that this model of public-oriented groundwork is what sets AAP apart from traditional political practices.
With the strong response from people and robust on-ground engagement, AAP aims to convert public trust into decisive victories in Benaulim and Colva.
