Goa Khabar : Silicon Valley entrepreneur Raju Chekuri, owner of the Goa Guardians team which recently reached the semi-finals of the fourth edition of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL) in its debut season, presented the team’s official jersey to Rohit Monserrate, mayor of Panaji.
The Goa Guardians have an intrinsic bond with Goa’s historical capital, Panaji, where the team resides and trains. “It’s heartening to see a professional volleyball team from Goa compete at the national level and reach the semi-finals of the PVL in their first attempt itself.
The Goa Guardians reflect the passion and athletic spirit of the city of Panaji and we are proud to support them as they represented our city on the national stage,” Monserrate said.
