“Let’s preserve Goa’s Asmutai and build a Goa of our dreams for our Fudle Pilge Khatir” – MLA Capt. Venzy
Goa Khabar:AAP MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas was invited by the Goan Cultural Centre–Kuwait as a guest for the World Goa Day 2025 celebrations held in Kuwait. The event brought together members of the vibrant Goan diaspora to celebrate the state’s unique identity, culture, and unity.
During his visit, Capt. Venzy Viegas, along with Mr. Carmo Santos, President of the Goan Cultural Centre–Kuwait, met Mr. Sanjay Muluka, Charge d’Affairs and Officiating Ambassador, Embassy of India–Kuwait.
At the meeting, Capt. Venzy Viegas presented a three-point agenda to strengthen Goa–Kuwait relations and enhance people-to-people and tourism exchange:

Direct Flight Between Kuwait and Goa – Capt. Venzy proposed the introduction of a direct flight to ease travel for thousands of Goans living and working in Kuwait, making family visits and tourism more convenient and affordable.

Tourism & Event Collaboration – He suggested engaging tourism professionals and event managers from Kuwait to participate in the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, promoting cross-cultural exchange and boosting Goa’s international tourism profile.

Tourism Partnership Between Governments – Capt. Venzy proposed facilitating cooperation between the Government of Goa and the Government of Kuwait to jointly promote each other’s tourism potential and explore mutually beneficial opportunities in the travel and hospitality sector.
Speaking at the World Goa Day celebrations, Capt. Venzy Viegas said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to meet Goans abroad. I request all Goans in Kuwait and across the world — let’s together preserve Goa’s Asmutai and build a Goa of our dreams for our Fudle Pilge Khatir (future generations).”
Capt. Venzy also thanked the Goan Cultural Centre–Kuwait and its President Carmo Santos for their hospitality and for bringing Goans together on a common platform. He praised their continued efforts in keeping Goa’s culture alive and uniting Goans across the globe under the spirit of Goemkarponn.
