Goa Khabar : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa on Friday launched its campaign “BJPChe Gundaraj Goyank Naka” (Goa doesn’t want BJP’s Gundaraj) against what it termed as the collapse of law and order in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
While addressing the media in Panaji AAP Goa President Adv. Amit Palekar said the campaign would cover every corner of Goa, urging Goans to unite against rising attacks and lawlessness. “This Diwali, it’s time we end the Narksur of Gundaraj which has destroyed Goa’s peace,” Palekar said.
Referring to the recent attack on social activist Rama Kankonkar, Palekar called it a wake-up call for all Goans. “Today it was Rama, tomorrow it could be any of us. Before BJP’s Gundaraj grows further, we must come together and end it,” he said.

AAP National Spokesperson Valmiki Naik echoed these concerns, stating that Goans today live under fear. “Whoever raises their voice against the BJP government is attacked, be it activists, businesspersons, or opposition leaders. The Gundas are not in jail, they are inside the BJP government itself,” Naik said.
Naik strongly criticised Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who also holds the Home portfolio, for what he described as a complete failure to maintain law and order in Goa. He said that in the past six years crime has only increased, and the state has lost its identity as a once peaceful place. According to him, the BJP is nurturing Gundas for its own political and personal gains, leaving ordinary citizens to suffer. These elements, he added, are being used to spread fear among those who dare to raise their voice against the government.
Referring to the brutal attack on activist Rama Kankonkar, Naik said it was not just an attack on one person but a clear message to the entire state that anyone who speaks against the BJP government will face the same consequences. He pointed out that Kankonkar is not only dealing with physical injuries but also deep mental trauma, which may affect his ability to raise his voice in the future. “It is time for all of us to come together and put a full stop to this politics of fear,” Naik urged.
