Goa Khabar : The Aam Aadmi Party’s ongoing campaign #BJPCheBurak on Monday spotlighted yet another crumbling, pothole-ridden road in front of Majorda railway station.

Taking a dig at the Pramod Sawant-led BJP government, AAP General Secretary (Campaign) Sandesh Telekar Dessai said, “Goans are paying heavy taxes, yet what they get in return are dangerous pothole-filled roads. People lose lives, vehicles get damaged, and still the government shows no accountability. This is nothing but a huge loss for the common people.”

AAP leader Pio Kevin mocked the BJP’s failure by saying that potholes have now become Goa’s defining feature. “Whichever road you take, potholes will welcome you. At this point, we could easily launch a web series named #BJPCheBurak because every street has the same sorry story,” he quipped.

Slamming the ruling party’s double standards, AAP leader Patricia Fernandes said, “BJP leaders never tire of lecturing people in the name of development. But if this is the development they boast of, then it is nothing short of betrayal. Look at the state of this road, is this what you call Vikas?”

The AAP team demanded stringent action against the contractors responsible for such shoddy work and called on the government to hold both contractors and engineers accountable. “They must be penalised and made to rebuild proper roads. Anything less is injustice to Goans who pay their taxes with trust,” the leaders said.

The protest at Majorda adds yet another chapter to AAP’s relentless campaign across Goa, exposing BJP’s hollow promises and the ground reality of crumbling infrastructure.
