Goa Khabar : The internal roads in the Ghogol area of the Curtorim Assembly Constituency are in a dilapidated state, and urgent repair work must be undertaken. This demand was made through a written memorandum submitted by Aam Aadmi Party State Vice President and Curtorim constituency leader Eng. Rock Mascarenhas, party workers, and local residents to the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD).
The memorandum highlighted that the roads in the Ghogol locality have been completely neglected, severely affecting the residents. Immediate repair work should be initiated without any delay.
Due to the poor condition of roads near MRF and Satyavati Plaza, around 19 houses and 60 residents in the Ghogol area are suffering. This area also has a significant population of senior citizens aged 80 and above. Despite the pathetic road conditions, not even temporary patchwork has been carried out. The road is in such disrepair that not even a meter has been patched. Senior citizens and children are most affected, making the entire situation hazardous.
Tax-paying citizens have a fundamental right to good roads and infrastructure. However, this right is being denied, which is a serious concern. The memorandum further demands that an immediate inspection of the roads be carried out and that the broken roads in the Ghogol area be included in upcoming road repair projects.
The Aam Aadmi Party, along with local residents, has demanded a written assurance from the PWD Executive Engineer stating when the repair work will commence and when it will be completed.
