LoP raises issue of homeless women &PwD

Goa Khabar : Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao on Monday moved Zero Hour motion over homeless women and persons with disabilities as no monies are disbursed to these needy sections. 

“Street Providence is running 11 homes for homeless with total of 150 residents at present. The government has made budgetary provision but the funds are not released as the scheme along with the rules and regulations is yet to be prepared. The Hon. Minister for Social Welfare and the Hon. Chief Minister may take this matter on top priority as the homes may face temporary closure,” he demanded.
