Goa Amateur Boxing Association to hold selection trials for 4th Sub Junior Boy’s & Girl’s National Boxing Championship 2025

Goa Khabar : Goa Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) will be conducting selection trials for the  following upcoming event: 4th (U-15) Sub Junior Boy’s & Girl’s National Boxing Championship – 2025 to be held from 6th August 2025 to 14th August 2025 at Galgotias University, Sector 17A, Yamuna  Expressway Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. 

The trials are being organized in preparation for the above prestigious National championship. The event will see participation from promising young talents across the country, and Goa will  be selecting its contingent through these trials. 

Trials will be held across the following weight categories: 30-33Kg// 35kg // 37kg // 40kg // 43kg  // 46kg // 49kg // 52kg// 55kg // 58kg // 61kg// 64kg // 67kg // 70kg & +70kg//. 

Boxers between the age of 13 and 14 according to their year of birth (born during the year 1st  January, 2011 – 31st December, 2012) are eligible. They must be  

registered with GABA and/ or BFI and be resident of Goa for at least last six months. They must  possess an Aadhaar Card with a Goa residential address and/or must submit either a valid  Bonafide Certificate from the school they are currently attending or a recent Residence  Certificate issued by the Village Panchayat, Municipality, Mamlatdar or Talathi of concerned  Village. 

All Entries must be submitted via email only to goaboxing@gmail.com by 22nd July 2025, 5:00  PM. Entries by whatsapp messages and after the due date will not be accepted.  Submissions must include the following details: Name, Surname, Father’s Name, Date of Birth,  Weight Category, Passport Size Photo, Blood Group, Aadhaar Card Number, Mobile Number,  Email ID, GABA Registration Number, Name of the Boxing Centre/Coaching Centre/RCC and the Boxing Coach. All entries must be complete in all respects and countersigned by the Boxing Coach in order to be accepted. Incomplete Entries will be rejected. The Boxing Coach will have  to remain present along with the Boxer at the time of the Selection Trials . If the Boxer is  unaccompanied by his or her coach, the concerned Boxer will not be allowed to participate in  the Selection trials.  

On the day of the selection trials, boxers must carry both originals and photocopies of the  following documents for verification: Medical Record Book issued by GABA or BFI, Original Birth  Certificate (issued by Municipal, Panchayat or Corporation) or original School Leaving  Certificate, Original School Mark Sheet, School Bonafide Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Passport size Photograph, BFI’s Annual Medical Fitness Certificate (issued by a Government Hospital  within last three months), Age Estimation Certificate (conducted as per NCAFS norms and  formats and also as per SAI Norms issued by a Government Hospital), along with Hepatitis B, C and HIV Test Certificates (also issued by a Government Hospital within last three months). 

GABA urges all boxers/coaches to ensure the timely submission of entries and required  documentation. This is a valuable opportunity for Goan boxers to represent the State of Goa on  a National stage and advance their careers in the Sports.
