Goa Khabar : The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) strongly protests INDOCO Pharma’s discriminatory recruitment ads favoring outsiders over Goans and vows to fight for the rights of Goenkars, asserting that Persons of Goan Origin (POGO) must get first preference in jobs.

In a proactive move, RGP held a productive meeting with the HR team of Indoco Remedies to address recruitment concerns of Goan job seekers. Both sides agreed to form a dedicated committee to engage in continuous dialogue with pharma companies, understand hiring challenges, and bridge the gap between employers and local talent. This initiative aims to significantly increase the percentage of Goenkars employed, as well as local contractors in the industry.

As part of this effort, RGP will prepare a comprehensive vision document to guide pharma companies in fostering inclusive and fair employment practices for Goans. “We will hold a series of meetings with industry officials to understand their issues and requirements, along with talks with the government to bridge the gap between employers and employees. At present, the government has miserably failed to address this gap—offering only big talks with no proper action. RGP will form a new committee to facilitate these dialogues with companies,” said Manoj Parab after meeting Indoco Remedies’ HR team.

Viresh Borkar pledged to raise this issue in the assembly and be the voice of Goenkars. RGP remains committed to taking positive steps and working tirelessly to secure employment opportunities for locals in the industry..
