Goa Khabar : In a major step towards modernising law enforcement through technology, Goa Police today formally launched two advanced AI-based tools “Spot the Scam” and “Radical Content Analyser” aimed at enhancing cyber vigilance and digital safety.
The event was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, who officially launched both tools, developed in collaboration with BITS Pilani Goa Campus during the Goa Police Hackathon 2024.

Also present on the occasion were DGP Goa Alok Kumar, IPS, IGP Goa Keshav Ram Chaurasia, IPS, DIGP HQ Ajay Krishan Sharma, IPS, Prof. Suman Kundu, Director, BITS Pilani Goa Campus, along with senior SPs, DySPs, police personnel and BITS faculty members. Students from BITS Pilani joined the event virtually.
The function began with a welcome address by SP Cyber Crime, Shri Rahul Gupta, IPS, who briefed the gathering on the genesis, objectives, and impact of the tools.

The Government will continue to coordinate with BITS Pilani for such innovative projects in the future,” he said.
He further added, “With growing misuse of technology, advanced tools are essential for modern investigation. Goa Police has already launched other tech-based solutions like Quick Pass and Deep Trace. I am proud to say that Goa Police is one of the most technologically advanced forces in the country, truly aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat as laid out by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.”The initiatives have also received appreciation from the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, who, during the review meeting of Goa Police held in March 2025, commended both tools and recognised their potential for wider application across States.

The tools Spot the Scam helps detect fraudulent websites, phishing links, and scam apps, while Radical Content Analyser identifies hate speech and extremist content in digital videos using AI. Both tools are now operational on a pilot basis and are being offered for use nationwide.
This launch is part of a broader digital transformation underway in Goa Police. In recent months, the Goa Police has implemented a series of smart policing initiatives including the Quick Pass App for seamless traffic enforcement, Deep Trace for digital identity verification using open-source intelligence, the TRACK Centre for real-time traffic monitoring, QR-based feedback systems across all police stations, and the Cyber Yoddha Volunteer Network to spread cyber awareness at the grassroots. Upcoming projects include a cloud-based cybercrime call centre integrated with helpline 1930, and a mobile-based tenant verification platform to enhance public convenience and investigative efficiency.
