Sankalp Se Siddhi depicts people centric governance : CM

Goa Khabar : Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today celebrating  11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government today reiterated that’ Sankalp Se Siddhi’ aims to  propogate  the people centric governance in the State of Goa  focusing welfare of youth, women, farmers and poor community. 

He was addressing the huge gathering at a programme ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Amrit Kaal, Seva Sushasan, Garib Kalyan ke 11 sal, Sankalp Se Siddhi’ organised by the Department of Information and Publicity at Ponda today.

Chief Minister Dr. Sawant stressing upon integral development of the State informed that his Government has successfully implemented 80 percent of schemes in the State out of 13 flagship schemes announced by the Prime Minister.

Chief Minister today distributed around 90 sanads under Forest Rights Acts to forest dwellers in the State. He  informed that as of now 2000 claims have been settled and around 8000 claims of forest dwellers are pending which will be disposed off by the December 19, 2025.

The programme was followed by distributing sanction orders to beneficiaries under various Schemes and felicitation of Senior Government Officers and Bank Officer for their remarkable contribution towards development of the Society.

Distribution of sanction orders under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsha Abhiyan, Eco friendly Movable fish Kiosks (three wheeler) under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana was held on the occasion.

Officers of Public Works Department were felicitated for their contribution towards Jal Jeevan Mission.

Besides Chorao Lion Trust was felicitated with financial assistance for running Ummid Centre and also felicitated IMA Ponda Charitable Trust for Dilasa pellative care under Directorate of Social Welfare.

Also Community Managed Training Centre and Lakhpati Didi Mascot under Rural Development Department were virtually inaugurated on the occasion.

Under PM Aa jivika Grameen Express Yojana grant of Rs.3.19 crores to 13 cluster level self help group federations and Rs. 6.43 crores of funds disbursed to 18 cluster level Federations thereby empowering the women folk in rural areas to start up their own business.

On the occasion various Videos depicting all round development of the State were presented and also booklet based on Seva Sushasan Garib Kalyan was released by the dignitaries.

Union Minister of State for Power and Renewable Energy Sripad Naik said that both Union and State Government has worked tirelessly for the development of Goa. It has provided all the basic facilities to deprived section of society wherein people were able to overcome poverty and their hardships.

Minister for Water Resources Subhash Shirodkar welcomed the gathering. Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar, Dy. Speaker Joshua Dsouza, Minister for Agriculture Ravi Naik, Minister for Fisheries Nilkanth Halarnkar, Minister for Revenue Atanasio Monserrate, Minister for Information and Technology Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Art and Culture Govind Gaude, Minister for Social Welfare Subhash Phal Desai, Member of Parliament Sadanand Shet Tanawade, Chairman of Ponda Municipal Council Anand Naik were present on the occasion. The program was attended by MLAs, IAS Officers and senior government officers.
