Goa Khabar : Xetrapal Sports Club cruised to a 3-1 victory over Sai Avtar Sports Club in the GFA Third Division League at Mandrem Panchayat Ground on Wednesday.
Xetrapal’s standout performer, Vipul Pednekar, bagged a brace, while Raunak Toraskar also got on the scoresheet to secure the win. Sai Avtar’s only response came through Dadapir Adoor.
Sai Avtar made an explosive start, with Adoor netting within the first minute to give his side an early lead. However, Xetrapal quickly regrouped, taking control of the midfield. Their efforts were rewarded when Pednekar fired home to level the match before halftime.
The second half saw Xetrapal relentlessly pressuring their opponents. Pednekar found the net again in the 70th minute to complete his double, and Toraskar sealed the victory with a late strike, confirming Xetrapal’s 3-1 triumph.
