Goa Khabar: Tech Media Startup Expo 2023 organized by The Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa, was officially inaugurated today by Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism; Information Technology, Electronics, and Communications, Printing and Stationary, Govt. of Goa, along with Dr. Chandrakant Shetye MLA- Bicholim, Chairman- Infotech Corporation Goa, Mr.Polumatla P .Abhishek, IAS, Director-Department of Information Technology, Electronics And Communications Government of Goa, Shri Praveen R Volvotkar- Managing Director of Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd, at Campal Promenade, Near Lord Parshuram Statue.
The highly anticipated Tech Media Startup Expo 2023, an innovative event promises to catalyze technological innovation and a valuable resource for citizens seeking information on the latest developments in the tech media landscape. The purpose of this expo is to give startups from all over India a special place to present their innovative projects and to give the people of Goa a chance to experience the newest technological innovations. To position Goa as the country’s creative capital, the Goa government is embarking on a bold new initiative by partnering with the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for Tech Media Startup Expo 2023.
Hon’ble Minister, Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, said, “The collaboration with IFFI is a symbol of our dedication to establishing a setting where creativity and technology meet, allowing for the flourishing of the creative minds. We hope to start the creative, technological, and intellectual infrastructure required to create Goa as India’s creative capital through collaborative efforts such as this expo to turn Goa into a hub for innovation and technological advancement. We want to draw in innovators, enterprises, and digital nomads from various backgrounds.
He further said, “The partnership with IFFI provides a special chance to network with film industry professionals and forge connections between media and technology. With an unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, our vision, led by Honorable Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, is to make Goa one of the most preferred startup destinations in Asia, thereby bringing world-class technologies and companies to the state and generating employment”

The second day of the expo will feature startups presenting their innovations and technology, which a panel of esteemed professionals and experts will evaluate. A series of events will be held on Day three which comprises a Masterclass for Startups by Ms. Saraswathi Vani Balgam, CEO of Dancing Atoms Studios followed by a Founders Meetup in the evening featuring the local startups and those present at the expo. The highlight of the day is a round table discussion with Industry representatives, Investors, and Policymakers followed by the valedictory ceremony.
Tech Media Startup Expo 2023 is open for all from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm till November 23, 2023, providing ample opportunities for the attendees to explore and engage with the startups being showcased at the event.
