Goa Khabar: The grand 4th-day parade at Panaji  was flagged off by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Ports; Shipping & Waterways and Tourism, Gov. of India, Shri Shripad Naik; Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, IT & EC and Printing & Stationery Goa, Shri Rohan Khaunte;  BJP State President of Goa, Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade; and other respected dignitaries.

The public swung by the energetic dhol beats and immediately got into the festive mood to celebrate the Shigmo Festival. Locals performed Hindu folk dances to the traditional beats of the dhols, while gigantic floats enacted famous Hindu mythological scenes. 

The Shigmotsav parade at Panaji was a mix of folk costumes, traditional art forms, larger-than-life-floats, music, and flashy colors attracting domestic and international tourists.
