Galaxy of Literary Talent to Converge at Goa Heritage Festival

Goa Khabar: The new Goa Heritage Festival (GHF) scheduled to be held from 15 – 17 November in the Campal Heritage Precinct of Panjim will showcase an exciting range of book launches, discussions and presentations in its IDEAS section, featuring some of the most acclaimed and important exemplars of our times.

 

Some highlights include exclusive launches for Orijit Sen (River of Stories), Karen Anand (Masala Memsahib), Feisal Alkazi (Enter Stage Right-The Alkazi/Padamsee Family Memoir), Vasudhendra (Tejo Tunghabadra), Tasneem Zakaria Mehta (Mumbai: A City Through Objects –101 Stories from the Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum), Karan Madhok (A Beautiful Decay), the Nature Conservation Foundation (At the Feet of Living Things: Twenty-Five Years of Wildlife Research and Conservation in India), and Goa’s own Heta Pandit (Stories from Goan Houses), Fatima Silva Gracias (Cozinha de Goa: A Glossary), Bina Nayak (Starfish Pickle), Clarice Vaz (Romalina: Goodbye Africa, Adeus Portugal, Namaste) and Pragya Bhagat (Swimming in Our Oceans).

In partnership with A Suitable Agency, which hosts acclaimed sessions at the Sunder Nursery in New Delhi, Suitable Conversations: Campal will feature Laila Tyabji, Pablo Bartholomew, Anuradha Roy, Kartik Shanker and Fiona Fernandez. Other delegates include Asad Laljee (of the Royal Opera House in Mumbai), Siddhesh Gautam (the brilliant illustrator also known as Bakery Prasad), 2022 Jnanpith Award winner Damodar Mauzo, Surbhi Agarwal of the brave little Mussoorie Heritage Society, path-breaking publishers Panther’s Paw Publication, heritage architect Vikas Dilawari, the Moda Goa Museum, Alakananda Nag on the Armenians of India, and Panjim’s beloved Mustard Seeds Art Company.
