Serendipity Art Festival launches film announcing it’s 5th edition

Goa Khabar:The eagerly awaited Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) makes a comeback to the heart of Panaji from 15th to 23rd December 2022 after a gap of two years. The short film was released on SAF’s social media channels recently to announce the return of the festival.

Spread across 10 venues with the Old GMC Palace at its heart, the festival will continue to uphold its fundamental values of sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility.

The illustrious line-up of curators for this year’s festival are Bickram Ghosh, Ehsaan Noorani, Geeta Chandran, Mayuri Upadhya, Sudarshan Shetty, Veerangana Solanki, Pramod Kumar KG, Anjana Somany, Quasar Thakore Padamsee and Prahlad Sukhtankar.

The curators have lined up a range of exciting programmes this year. Bickram Ghosh and Ehsaan Noorani will bring you indie pop & rock, folk, and classical music concerts; the dance programmes, put together by Geeta Chandran and Mayuri Upadhya, will span across various genres such as classical, experimental, and contemporary; our Visual Arts curators Sudarshan Shetty and Veerangana Solanki will focus on young artists in South Asia exploring questions of medium and narrative; Pramod Kumar KG and Anjana Somany will enliven the world of craft; Quasar Thakore Padamsee will showcase a selection of diverse plays addressing the idea of community for all age groups; and finally, Prahlad Sukhtankar will curate the important culinary quotient of Serendipity Arts Festival with community meals and a series of workshops decoding food as we know it.

About Serendipity Arts Festival

 

The Foundation’s primary initiative and largest project, Serendipity Arts Festival is a multi-disciplinary arts event held annually every December in Goa. Curated by a panel of eminent artists and institutional figures, the Festival is a long-term cultural project that hopes to instigate positive change across the arts in India on a large scale. Spanning the visual, performing and culinary arts, the Festival’s programming includes music, dance, visual arts, craft, photography, film, and theatre.
