Daivadnya Samaj Margao felicitates SSC & HSC toppers for academic excellence

Goa Khabar : Daivadnya Samaj, Margao, honoured meritorious students of Std X and Std XII from the Goa Board, CBSE, and ICSE at a felicitation ceremony held at Daivadnya Bhavan, Margao.

The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

Welcoming the gathering, Ramakant Raikar, President of Daivadnya Samaj, Margao, congratulated the students on their achievements and highlighted the importance of education. He also urged parents to continue supporting their children in achieving their academic and career goals.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Venkatesh Raikar, Director, KLE Hubballi and Former Vice Chancellor of Sanjay Ghodawat University, encouraged students to pursue careers of their choice while striving to excel in national-level competitive examinations such as the UPSC. He also advised parents to carefully verify the credentials of universities and colleges before seeking admissions.

During the ceremony, all students from the community who secured more than 85% marks in Std X were felicitated for their outstanding performance.

The event also featured special honours for Yoganand Nagvenkar of Marcel, who received the prestigious Dnyaneshwari Puraskar, and Dr. Swarali Bhaskar Verlekar, who was felicitated on successfully completing her MBBS.

Among the Std XII overall toppers honoured were Miss Kanti Deepak Nagvekar, Miss Minisha Samir Lotlikar, and Miss Adhvika Gurunath Shirodkar. Students excelling in the Science, Arts, and Commerce streams were also felicitated for their exceptional academic achievements.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Shri Rohit Vernekar, Secretary of Daivadnya Samaj, Margao. The event was compered by Dipti Ashish Nagvekar and coordinated by Prashil Salkar, Coordinator of the Education Cell, under the guidance of Mr. Upendra Madkaikar, Chairman of the Education Cell.
