Goa Khabar : AAP Goa leaders led by Goa President Valmiki Naik joined the citizens protest against 39A organised by Enough is Enough outside the TCP office in Panaji today. Slamming the use of the TCP as an ATM ministry by the ruling party, Valmiki Naik appealed to Goans to unite against Section 39A and demanded a special assembly session to discuss the repeal of 39A.

Thanking protesters for gathering in large numbers, Naik reminded them that attempts to grab Goa’s lands are not new with TCP attempting to grab land under Babush Monseratte in 2005. He stated that every TCP minister thinks they personally own Goa’s lands and use the TCP Ministery as their personal ATM. He slammed the delay in the assembly session and demanded a special assembly session just to repeal section 39A.

AAP leaders have pointed out that 39A is a conspiracy to take control of Goan lands especially agricultural lands, and turn them into settlement zones to sell to the highest bidder & enrich the BJP.

Valmiki Naik shared that the Goans have always united against any attack on Goan culture. Drawing a comparison to the Konkani language agitation Valmiki said that if Mega Projects under Section 39A are allowed Goa will lose its culture, it’s environment and it’s unique ethos.

AAP Goa also reiterated that the BJP must not be allowed to come back to power so that Goan lands can be saved, pointing out that within a month of coming to power AAP would repeal section 39A.
