Goa Khabar : As Goa marked World Youth Skills Day 2026, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, along with Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ITG) and the Startup & IT Promotion Cell (SITPC), participated in the Karigar Mela 2026 organised by the Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship at Kala Academy, Panaji in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Skill India Mission.
The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, who visited the exhibition and interacted with representatives from DITE&C, ITG, SITPC and the participating startups. During his visit to the Startup Showcase, the Chief Minister appreciated the innovative solutions developed by Goan startups and encouraged young entrepreneurs to continue leveraging technology and innovation to address real-world challenges while contributing to the state’s economic growth.

S. Prashant, CEO, Startup & IT Promotion Cell, Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Government of Goa.
The joint exhibition by DITE&C, Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ITG) and the Startup & IT Promotion Cell (SITPC) showcased a range of digital governance initiatives, startup achievements and youth-centric technology programmes through dedicated presentations on ITG’s digital transformation initiatives, SITPC’s efforts to strengthen Goa’s startup ecosystem, the Information Technology Knowledge Centre (ITKC) and the Mukhyamantri Digital Yuva Scheme (MDSY). The exhibition highlighted the Government of Goa’s continued focus on digital innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-driven skill development, while also providing a platform for Goa-based startups to showcase their innovative products and services.
A major attraction at the event was the Startup Showcase, where eight Goa-based startups demonstrated their innovative products and services to students, industry representatives and visitors. The participating startups included Reclevo Infotech Pvt. Ltd.; Phosic; Artine Technologies LLP; Divvy Up and Grow; Sevaco; Diagopreutic; Plus Innovation and Vindaloo Entertainment. The showcase provided these startups with an opportunity to engage with the public, build industry connections and highlight the growing innovation ecosystem being nurtured in the state.
DITE&C’s participation at World Youth Skills Day 2026 reflected the Government of Goa’s ongoing efforts to create an enabling ecosystem where skill development, digital innovation and entrepreneurship go hand in hand.
