Goa Kahabar: Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS visited the Birth and Death Registration Unit at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, where he launched the Central Civil Registration System (CRS) Portal for activities related to the registration of births and deaths across the State of Goa.
As part of the programme, Dr. Candavelou presented birth certificates generated through the CRS Portal to the parents of newly born babies, marking the operational rollout of the new registration system.
The function was organised by the Directorate of Planning, Statistics & Evaluation (DPSE) and the Office of the Chief Registrar of Births & Death.
The event was attended by Director, DPSE, Shri Vijay Saxena, Dean of Goa Medical College, Prof. Dr. Jai Prakash Tiwari, Medical Superintendent of GMC, Dr. Rajesh Patil, along with other doctors and officials.
