Goa Khabar : Aam Aadmi Party Goa State President Valmiki Naik, along with Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar-Dessai, Working President Gerson Gomes, Organisation Secretary Prashant Naik and Vice President Sunil Singnapurkar, launched a sharp attack on the BJP after Enforcement Directorate raids were conducted in Goa at locations connected to AAP Sah-Prabhari Deepak Singla. AAP leaders stated that central agencies are being systematically misused by the BJP government to intimidate opposition leaders, suppress political dissent and weaken parties that refuse to surrender before BJP.

Addressing the media, AAP Goa State President Valmiki Naik stated that BJP is targeting AAP because it knows AAP is emerging as the only strong opposition capable of defeating BJP. He referred to Bengal where ED had raided the office of IPAC and arrested its director during the election and released him after Elections, clearly showing that wanted to gather TMC’s data, pointing to BJP’s tactics of paralysing opposition to win elections.

He further referred to Punjab, stating that BJP has begun it’s“Operation Lotus” through pressure tactics on AAP leaders. Valmiki Naik stated that Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal was raided and eventually joined BJP, while Sanjeev Arora, who refused to join BJP, was subjected to raids and arrest. He claimed these incidents clearly show that ED is used primarily against leaders who refuse to align with BJP politically.

Valmiki Naik said that the raids on Deepak Singla are linked to an old conspired case being revived selectively to pressure AAP leadership. The ED is not only being used to threaten AAP leaders, but also to gather organisational and political data related to AAP’s growing activities in Goa because BJP is worried about the party’s increasing popularity and expanding support base among Goans.

Valmiki Naik stated that the Enforcement Directorate was originally meant to be a strong institution to act against terrorism funding, financial crimes and serious national offences, but BJP has reduced it into a political weapon against opposition parties. He said BJP has created a dangerous reverse rule where opposition leaders are treated as guilty until proven innocent, while those who join BJP suddenly receive protection. He asserted that despite raids, arrests and intimidation tactics, AAP leaders and workers are not afraid and will continue fighting against BJP’s corruption and misuse of power.

AAP Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar-Dessai stated that BJP and it’s Ministers itself are filled with corruption across multiple departments including Health, Excise, Electricity and TCP, yet investigative agencies never raid BJP leaders involved in corruption. He stated that ED functions selectively under political directions from BJP only to target opposition parties and weaken their growth.
Sandesh Teleikar-Dessai said BJP has realised that AAP is rapidly becoming popular in Goa and is giving BJP a strong political challenge, which is why agencies are being misused against AAP leaders. He asserted that AAP is not scared of ED, raids or political intimidation and will continue to fight fearlessly to defeat BJP in 2027 and make sure that Authoritarian rule of BJP is wiped out of Goa.

Organisation Secretary Prashant Naik stated that during the Ponda by-election campaign, BJP realised that AAP was giving them neck-to-neck competition and gaining massive public trust and support. He said that the ED raids are an attempt to create fear among AAP leaders and suppress the welfare activities and public outreach programmes carried out by the party.
Prashant Naik stated that agencies like ED and CBI are being used purely as tools of intimidation, but maintained that no central agency or political pressure can stop AAP from continuing its movement for the welfare of the people of Goa.

AAP leaders reiterated that the party will continue to stand firmly with the people of Goa and resist BJP’s dictatorial style rule, misuse of institutions, abuse of power and attempts to silence opposition voices through fear and intimidation.
