Goa Khabar : LoP Yuri Alemao, during zero hour, raised issue of reservation for OBC students in Post Graduate medical seats in Goa Medical College and Dental College, as per the 100 point roster. Government has failed to implement it despite assurances.
He said that despite the categorical assurance given on the floor of this House on 4th August 2025, that notification regarding reservation for OBC students in Post Graduate medical seats in Goa Medical College and Dental College, as per the 100 point roster, would be issued within a week the notification has not yet been issued.
“It is further noted that the rules governing 100% roster based reservation for OBC, ST, and SC categories in Goa Medical College and Dental College remain pending. For the last six years, successive assurances have been extended to the community, but the Government has consistently turned a Nelson’s Eye to the matter,” he said.
He said that in view of the upcoming PG NEET Medical Registration scheduled for the first week of April 2026, there should be clarity on the concrete steps the Government proposes to take to ensure that the notification is issued without further delay.
