Goa Khabar : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa with President Valmiki Naik, MLA Venzy Viegas, Working President Gerson Gomes, Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai, Organisation Secretary Prashant Naik, Vice President Sunil Singnapurkar, Roque Mascarenhas, leaders Manual Cardozo, Herton Fernandes, Shyam Kolambkar, Aslam Punjabi, Ratishma Shirodkar and Volunteers celebrated the discharge of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the fake liquor policy corruption case. The verdict was delivered by the Rouse Avenue Court, which observed that there was no material even to initiate trial proceedings and strongly criticised the investigation conducted by the CBI.
Arvind Kejriwal thanked the judiciary for delivering justice despite what he described as immense pressure. The court has stated that there was no material even to begin a trial. This case was built on conjecture. “I thank the judge for the courage to stand by the truth and I thank every citizen who stood with us during these four difficult years when agencies were misused to target us. This entire conspiracy was orchestrated by Modi and Shah, and they owe a public apology for what is one of the most abrupt conspiracies in the history. They knew they could not defeat AAP in Delhi through democratic means, so they attempted to destroy us using central agencies. People questioned why I remained silent after coming out of jail, but during that period my family was abused, my integrity was attacked, and I was branded a thief. I chose to remain silent until I was proven innocent and today the truth has prevailed.
Modi ji deployed the ED, CBI, Income Tax Department, and police against us. Our top five leaders were sent to jail, yet AAP continued to stand strong. In Delhi we built 500 government schools, repaired roads, and established 200 Mohalla Clinics providing free healthcare. I challenge the Prime Minister to build 5,000 government schools across the country and start 20,000 clinics nationwide. Instead of focusing on governance, this government is consumed by power-hungry politics.
3 crore people of Delhi have paid the price of this Modi–Shah conspiracy, facing poor roads, rising pollution, and a toxic Yamuna. I challenge Modi ji to conduct elections again in Delhi — and if the BJP wins even 10 seats, I will quit politics.
AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik stated that the case was a deliberate political conspiracy. It was a planned attempt to defame Arvind Kejriwal ji and Manish Sisodia ji through false cases filed by central agencies. A propaganda campaign was run to malign AAP’s image. Today’s acquittal proves that the allegations were baseless and politically motivated.
Naik further alleged that the conspiracy was designed to damage the reputation of a government that has worked for people’s welfare for over ten years without proven corruption. He pointed out that while Kejriwal spent nearly six months in jail and Sisodia spent close to two years incarcerated. The court has exposed how a case was constructed without evidence. Justice has prevailed,” he added, while thanking the judiciary for upholding the rule of law.
AAP MLA Venzy Viegas said that the allegations were repeatedly used to attack AAP leaders in Goa as well. “I was taunted inside the Goa Assembly over the so-called liquor scam. Today the conspiracy has collapsed. BJP tried to break our party by offering power and positions, but we chose to stand by our principles. Now we will expose their own corrupt policies and double standards and despite attempts to engineer defections on me and MLA Cruz Silva, the party remained united. They tried to divide us, but we did not bend. We stayed loyal to our party and our people and we will try our best to form next Aap government in Goa,” he stated.
AAP MLA Cruz Silva applauded the dedication of AAP volunteer and leaders stating that “ BJP arrested and put behind our whole leadership, despite that not a single leader of AAP defected or joined BJP. Not only did we have emerged victorious from this big conspiracy of BJP. The Court order is a stamp on AAP’s honest politics.”
AAP Working President Gerson Gomes said that this is a victory of our honest politics. This is was all possible only because of the blessing of lakhs and crores of people who benefitted from the good work of AAP government be it in Punjab or Delhi.
AAP Senior Vice President Sandesh Teleikar Dessai termed the verdict a historic moment for every common man of India. AAP emerged as a hope for honest governance, and to destroy that hope a massive conspiracy was hatched. Today, our principles have been vindicated in court. BJP which tried to brand an honest man as corrupt stands exposed. Dessai further appreciate an inquiry demanded by court to be conducted against the officers who constructed this false narrative.
AAP Organisation Secretary Prashant Naik said “The truth has come out, and the people must now see the real face of those who tried to misuse institutions for political revenge. The whole Palace of cards of BJP’s fake cases has fallen because which was based on this CBI case, thus cases all all other agencies will no longer be Valid against Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia”
The Aam Aadmi Party Goa unit stated that the acquittal is not just a legal victory but a moral one, reaffirming its commitment to honest politics and governance. The party assured that it will continue to fight against to suppress clean politics and will work toward forming the next AAP government in Goa.
