Goa leader mourns the passing of Pope Francis

Goa Khabar : A prominent Goan leader expressed heartfelt condolences on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, remembering him as a beacon of compassion, humility, and global peace.

The leader recalled a recent personal blessing received through Cardinal George Koovakatt at the Goa Raj Bhavan, where sacred gifts from the Vatican were presented—an experience now deeply cherished.

Pope Francis was praised for his life of simplicity, advocacy for the poor, and global leadership on key issues like climate change and refugee rights. His warmth towards India and Prime Minister Modi was also fondly remembered.
