Journalist Chinki Sinha to speak at ICG on OCT 5

Goa Khabar: Chinki Sinha, editor of the Outlook magazine will be speaking at the International Centre Goa (ICG) on Saturday, October 5 at 6pm.

She will be in conversation with Pushkar, director, ICG as a part of ICG’s  “Patrakar” series. This event is free and open to the public.

Chinki earned her masters in newspaper and magazine journalism from the Syracuse University, New York. She has also been a fellow at the Centre for Advanced Study on India (CASI) at the University of Pennsylvania. Chinki has reported for several years on a broad range of political, social and cultural issues.

While working for the Indian Express in New Delhi, Chinki has covered a range of issues including primary education and the right of all children to free and compulsory education. Her research saw her travel extensively to rural areas to report on school education and other issues. Chinki is interested in social rights and their implementation and access to opportunities for the poor.
