Government compelled to act after Goa Congress President Amit Patkar gave ultimatum on Kachra issue
Goa Khabar : Goa Congress President Amit Patkar strongly took up the issue of illegal garbage dumping in residential area in Curchorem. A delegation met the Waste Treatment Minister on Friday and gave ultimatum to stop the garbage dumping by coming Wednesday.
The Govt was caught on back foot on their own mission of “Swach Bharat Abhiyan” and immediately directed the authority to act immediately. The area has been cleaned and Police has been deployed along with CCTV surveillance. The residents and people residing nearby have expressed their gratitude to Amit Patkar & team for taking up the issue and taking to logical end within 2 days.
Congress Party has assured to keep a vigilance on the same and will make sure no such illegal dumping, storage, segregation of garbage is carried out in residential or undesignated area in Curchorem.
