Holiday SC sail past UC Nerul

Goa Khabar : Holiday SC Arpora cruised to a dominant 5-1 victory over United Club of Nerul in the GFA Third Division League clash at Siolim ground on Thursday. Chirag Mardolkar led the charge with a brace, while Rohit Shirodkar, Mayopam Rumthad, and Sneiden Fernandes also found the back of the net. Nerul’s only response came through Ransley Gonsalves.

The game started evenly, with Rumthad breaking the deadlock for Holiday SC in the 22nd minute, but Nerul hit back as Gonsalves leveled the score in the 36th minute. The teams entered halftime tied 1-1.

After the break, Holiday SC ramped up the pressure, dominating the attacking third. Their persistence paid off when Fernandes slotted home in the 86th minute to restore the lead. The late surge continued with Mardolkar’s quick-fire brace, and Shirodkar added another, sealing a convincing 5-1 win.

In another fixture at Moira ground, El Shaddai SCC picked up three points after Nerul Sports Club failed to report, resulting in a walkover.
