Goa Khabar  : Recently, some irresponsible comments were made by former GPCC President Girish Chodankar regarding the reasons behind the last-minute cancellation of the visit of J P Nadda ji, Hon’ble National President of BJP. It has been a long-standing habit of Congress leaders to create issues where none exist. After being denied the Congress ticket to contest the South Goa Lok Sabha, Mr. Chodankar’s desperation to stay relevant is forcing him to make such baseless allegations.
It was well known that J P Nadda ji had to cancel due to some last-minute pressing commitments, including a Cabinet Meeting chaired by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, where some landmark decisions were taken, including but not limited to, the Unified Pension Scheme for retired Government servants.
We take this opportunity to ask Mr. Girish Chodankar the following questions and state some observations:
1. Why did the Bharat Jodo (Todo) Yatra of Rahul Gandhi not come to Goa in both phases?
2. Why did Rahul Gandhi not campaign in Goa during the Lok Sabha elections?
3. Did Rahul Gandhi ignore a visit to Goa because he realizes how corrupt and intellectually bankrupt the Congress state leadership is?
Rahul Gandhi’s visits to Goa have been limited to his love for Goa’s scenic beauty or his love for certain breeds of dogs. He seems to have shown no such affection towards Congress leaders and has left Goan affairs to junior Congress leaders. In stark contrast, Goa saw PM Narendra Modi ji and HM Shri Amit Bhai Shah visiting Goa multiple times over the last year or so. This shows the importance Goa and BJP Goa leaders have in the minds of BJP’s national leadership.
Instead of focusing on BJP, Mr. Chodankar would be better served to look within. BJP’s good governance, coupled with Congress’s petty politics, has kept Congress out of power since 2012. Mr. Chodankar should focus on the internal affairs of his party, which seems to be squabbling over who the next GPCC President will be or who will become the next Leader of Opposition. Their internal competition is out in the open, and Congress would be better served to fix their internal problems before commenting on the BJP.
