Goa Khabar : A meeting was convened by the In-charges of all Police Stations in the North District with Presidents and office bearers of Devasthan/Temple committees, along with temple representatives, to discuss and implement robust security measures for temples. The primary focus was on preventing temple thefts and ensuring the safety of devotees, temple properties, idols, Fund Peti, valuable articles (including gold ornaments), and other valuables, as well as cash (notes and coins).
The meeting emphasized the mandatory installation of CCTV cameras, Burglary alarms and Adequate illumination in temple areas.

With overall participation of over 200 temple representatives, this initiative, held by concerned Jurisdictional In-charges, supervised by Sub-Divisional Police Officers under the guidance of SP North, Shri Akshat Kaushal, IPS, aims to safeguard our cultural heritage and places of worship, providing a secure environment for devotees.
