Goa Khabar: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Working President Sunil Kawthankar has questioned the political intentions of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing it of repeatedly targeting the Congress instead of taking on the ruling BJP.

In a post on his X handle, Kawthankar referred to AAP’s political jibe against the Congress over the phrase “Ek Kachori Do Samosa”, saying it came just a day after the Congress’ Goy Rakhonn Yatra received a strong response in Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s Sankhalim constituency and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane’s Valpoi constituency.

Kawthankar claimed that AAP’s repeated criticism of Congress, rather than the BJP which is in power, raises questions about the intentions of what he described as the “Delhi-based Aam Aadmi Party.”

He further questioned the stand of the other political party allied with AAP, asking whether it agrees with AAP’s political jibe against the Congress.

Kawthankar also asked whether AAP’s alliance partner still has “Bharosa” (trust) in the party led by former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

His remarks indicate growing political friction between the Congress and AAP in Goa, with Kawthankar seeking clarity from AAP’s alliance partner over its position on the attacks directed at the Congress.
