Goa Khabar : Umesh Sandu, Executive Director of Sandu Pharmaceuticals Limited, a renowned company with a glorious legacy in the field of Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing, passed away suddenly at his residence in Chembur today, Friday, June 19, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
He was 59 years old.Under his visionary leadership, Sandu Pharmaceuticals Limited earned recognition and acclaim at both the national and international levels. He played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Goa. Apart from his significant contribution to the pharmaceutical industry, he held a prominent position in social and business circles as well.
His untimely demise has cast a pall of gloom over the pharmaceutical industry as well as social and business communities. He is survived by his mother, two daughters Shivani and Kanishka, two brothers, other family members, friends, and a large number of well-wishers.The funeral procession of Mr. Umesh Sandu will commence tomorrow, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. from Sandu Compound, Sandu Wadi, Chembur, Mumbai.
