Goa Khabar : In view of the current global situation and restrictions on LPG supply, the Government has urged the general public to switch to Piped Natural Gas (PNG).
Goa Natural Gas Pvt. Ltd. (GNGPL), a subsidiary of GAIL and BPCL, has confirmed that PNG supply remains normal and uninterrupted for domestic, commercial, and industrial customers across North Goa and Ponda. Unlike LPG, PNG is considered safer, more economical, and more reliable as it provides a continuous supply directly through pipelines.
Availability and Benefits
The PNG infrastructure is already available in large housing societies in the Tiswadi and Ponda areas. To encourage new connections, GNGPL is offering several financial incentives:
- Free Registration: Waiver of the ₹500 fee.
- Referral Incentives: Up to ₹2,000.
- Reimbursement: Up to ₹6,000 towards Third Party Inspection.
- Rebate: Up to 90% off on Meter Security.
