Deltin Foundation and Alpha Angels host high-impact ‘Paws & Wellness Camp,’ championing responsible pet care in Goa

Goa Khabar : The Deltin Foundation, through its animal welfare Program Karuna, in collaboration with Alpha Angels, successfully hosted the landmark Paws & Wellness Camp on November 21, 2025, at Gracia De Orta garden, Panjim, Goa.  The event brought together hundreds of pet parents, veterinarians, community leaders, and animal welfare advocates for a comprehensive evening dedicated to holistic pet wellbeing and responsible citizenship.

The Camp was graced by key dignitaries, including Rohit Monserrate, Hon’ble Mayor of Panaji; Prakash Kamat, Vice President of the Goa Animal Federation, noted journalist and animal welfare advocate; and Manoj Jain, Vice President, Deltin Foundation. Their presence reinforced the importance of community-driven initiatives that create accessible, informative, and compassionate spaces for pet families.

Key Impacts and Highlights:

The Camp offered several high-value services and interactive sessions, cementing its role as a milestone event for Goa’s pet community:

• Provided free rabies vaccinations and comprehensive wellness consultations covering nutrition and preventive care.
• Advocacy sessions focused on the necessity of spaying/neutering and critical topics like first-aid and dog-bite prevention, led by a renowned dog expert from the UK Chris Walton.
• Successfully ran a dedicated adoption corner, reinforcing the message of adoption over purchase by connecting families with rescued animals.
• Enhanced family bonds through interactive play zones for pets and special activities for children.

Appreciating the initiative, Hon’ble Mayor Rohit Monserrate said , “Events like the Paws & Wellness Camp play an important role in strengthening awareness around responsible pet parenting.
