Goa Khabar : Rajya Sabha MP and Goa BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade met Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi on Wednesday to press for the early establishment of a 150-bedded Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital at Mulgao, Bicholim, North Goa.
Tanavade reminded the Union Minister about his recent Special Mention in the Rajya Sabha on the urgent need for the facility. He stressed that despite more than 2.54 lakh insured persons and nearly 8.5 lakh beneficiaries depending on ESIC in Goa, North Goa continues to lack a dedicated ESIC hospital.
He urged the minister to personally intervene and fast-track the sanctioning, tendering, and construction process of the long-pending project. “This hospital is vital to ensure affordable and accessible healthcare for the working population of North Goa,” Tanavade said.
