Goa Khabar : Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar today informed that he, along with CLP Leader Yuri Alemao, had a meaningful and strategic meeting with Honourable Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Amit Patkar extended a formal invitation to Kharge to attend the Goa Statehood Day celebrations on 30th May 2025. The Congress President graciously accepted the invitation and confirmed his presence, which will be a moment of immense pride and inspiration for the people of Goa and the Congress cadre alike.
The leaders also held a detailed discussion on the prevailing political scenario in Goa. The misgovernance and anti-people policies of the BJP-led government were deliberated upon, along with the growing public dissatisfaction across the state.

Patkar stated that the roadmap for the 2027 Goa Assembly Elections was discussed at length, focusing on strengthening the Congress organisation from the grassroots level and presenting a credible, people-centric alternative to the BJP.
Kharge’s unwavering faith in the Goa Congress leadership is a great source of strength. His upcoming visit will energise our cadre and inspire confidence throughout the Goa Congress Organisation, said Patkar.
He further added, the movement to reclaim Goa’s future has begun. We are united, determined, and fully prepared to take the BJP head-on and restore good governance in the state.
