Goa Khabar : Nitin Raiker, Director of Fire and Emergency Services have been awarded Director General Fire Service, Civil Defense and Home Guard, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Bronze Disc and Commendation Certificate on the occasion of Fire Service Week 2025 for his exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment, and distinguished service throughout his tenure in the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services.
He joined the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services on 3rd January 1991 as an Assistant Station Fire Officer and was promoted to Station Fire Officer on 24th December 1998. He rose to the rank of Assistant Divisional Officer on 11th August 2010.
Throughout his career, he underwent several key training programs, including the Sub-Officers Course in 1994, the Station Officer and Instructor Course in 2003 (which he passed with Honours), and the Divisional Officers Course in 2006, in which he earned a Distinction and was awarded a Gold Medal.
He was awarded the Chief Minister’s Fire Service Medal in 2008. On the occasion of Independence Day, 15th August 2023, he was also honored with the prestigious President’s Fire Service Medal. He was appointed as Deputy Director (Fire Services) in 2014 and subsequently promoted to the post of Director on 15th November.
