Mohun Bagan Super Giants qualify for boy’s final with third straight win

Goa Khabar : Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MBSG) continued their winning run in the Dream Sports Championship Football 2025 boy’s national finals, becoming the first team to secure a spot in the finals after a convincing 3-0 win over Dempo Sports Club at the SAG Benaulim ground on Saturday.

The Kolkata team dominated their final group match in the U-17 tournament with Thangngaisang Haokip opening the scoring in the very first minute. MBSG added two more goals in the second half, with contributions of  Khaiminlal Khongsai (61st minute) and Jetlee Singh (68th minute) to record their third straight win. 

In the second morning match played at the SAG Utorda ground,  Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) drew 2-2 with Chennaiyin FC. 

Nishal scored the opener for RFYC in the 5th minute and Shawn Fernandes scored in the 45th minute. 

Chennaiyin equalized dramatically with two goals from James Chongloi in the  48th and 62nd minute.
