Goa Khabar : Today, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) Goa held a press conference addressing the continued neglect of Goa by the BJP government. Convenor of AITC Goa,  Mariano Rodrigues, and AITC National Spokesperson Trajano D’Mello highlighted three critical issues that expose the BJP’s indifference to the state’s pressing concerns.

Key Issues Highlighted:

1. ST Reservation Bill Delayed Without Justification

Despite making up 12% of Goa’s population, the ST community is still denied proper political representation. The Centre rejected Goa’s 2023 request to form a panel, showing clear disregard.

2. Goa Not a Priority for BJP in the Parliament

While other bills are passed swiftly, Goa’s ST Bill remains sidelined, even after AITC MPs demanded action in the Business Advisory Committee.

3. CRZ Rules Punish Locals, Spare the Rich

Over 20,000 traditional homes are under threat due to CRZ rules, while luxury hotels continue expanding. Locals suffer, the rich benefit — BJP looks away.

AITC has raised Goa-related issues in the Parliament, and the party reiterated its commitment to being the voice of the Goans.
