Goa Khabar : The Mormugao Block Congress has condemned MVR Infra for negligence after a worker from the electricity department died due to the collapse of unsafe scaffolding at one of its sites. The party has accused the company of failing to follow safety regulations, calling the incident a case of criminal negligence.
Congress has demanded an FIR against MVR Infra officials under IPC Sections 304A, 337, and 338, along with a high-level investigation and strict legal action. They have also called for adequate compensation for the worker’s family and stricter enforcement of safety norms at construction sites.
Blaming the BJP-led government for not ensuring worker safety, Congress warned of mass agitation if immediate action is not taken.
