Goa Khabar:The Goa Football Association will be organising a Medical Seminar on the role of medical support in football tournaments and the management of emergencies on the field of play. The seminar has been mandated following a decision of the GFA Executive Committee at its meeting held on July 22, 2026 and will be conducted across two zones to ensure participation from all GFA-registered clubs in the state.

Player safety at every level of the game remains a priority for the Goa Football Association. The seminar is aimed at equipping club representatives with the knowledge and awareness required to respond effectively to medical emergencies on the field of play, and to ensure that adequate medical provisions are in place at all football competitions organised under GFA’s jurisdiction. The GFA Sports Medical Committee, chaired by Dr. Fenton De Souza, will oversee the conduct of the seminar.

The seminar will be held as per the following schedule:

South Zone

Date: August 22, 2026

Venue: Conference Hall, PJN Stadium, Fatorda

Time: 3.00 to 5.00 PM

North Zone

Date: August 23, 2026

Venue: Conference Hall, Duler Stadium, Mapusa

Time: 3.00 to 5.00 PM

Attendance of at least one representative from each GFA-registered club is compulsory. Clubs that fail to attend the seminar will not be permitted to organise any football tournament. All clubs are strongly urged to treat this as a priority and ensure their representation at the relevant zonal seminar without fail.
