Goa Khabar: Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan A. Khaunte led a Tiranga Yatra Bike Rally in Porvorim as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, calling upon every household in the constituency to proudly hoist the national flag.

The rally commenced from Art Park, Porvorim, with panchayat representatives, youth, citizens, party workers and supporters participating in large numbers. Participants rode through different parts of the constituency carrying the Tiranga, creating an atmosphere of patriotism and national pride.

Addressing participants, Khaunte said that pride and respect for the national flag represent the values that unite the country. He stressed that as India moves through the Amrit Kaal towards the centenary of Independence in 2047, every citizen has a role to play in building a stronger and developed nation.

“The active involvement of young people in the Tiranga Yatra clearly demonstrates their readiness to contribute to this journey of national growth,” Khaunte said.

He urged residents of Porvorim to participate enthusiastically in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by hoisting the national flag at their homes from August 9 to 17.

Khaunte said that hoisting the Tiranga at homes is a visible expression of patriotism and nationalism, as well as a tribute to the sacrifices made by freedom fighters for the country’s Independence.

Highlighting the participation of youngsters in the rally, Khaunte said the younger generation has an important responsibility in shaping the future of the country and the constituency.

“Our young generation has come together today with a strong spirit of patriotism. This is not only about celebrating the Tiranga, but also about making a commitment to nation-building. Together, we can work towards a Viksit Bharat, a Viksit Goa and a Viksit Porvorim,” he said.

The Tiranga Yatra was also held against the backdrop of the commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram, which has played a significant role in India’s freedom movement and continues to hold a special place in the country’s national consciousness.

The bike rally concluded after participants carried the national flag through Porvorim, spreading the message of unity, patriotism and collective responsibility while encouraging citizens to make the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a people-led celebration across the constituency.
